MIBS, being a fine blend of educationists and entrepreneurs has superior relations with corporate houses and other prestigious institutions. Our placement team works round the year to ensure successful and respectable placements with esteemed organizations.

These facts are clearly highlighted by the triumphant placements of our first batch (2008-2010).

Placement Activities

The Placement Process at MIBS aims to match the requirements of the Corporate World with the aspirations of the students thereby facilitating the achievement of synergy between the two. The various Placement Activities undertaken at MIBS are described below.

Summer Internship Program

As a compulsory part of curriculum, students are required to undergo Summer Internship with an organization for a period of 3 months. The Internship has dual objectives:

Firstly, it allows the student to apply the concepts learnt in the classroom and groom their ability to define, diagnose and analyze a specific managerial problem and search for its appropriate solution.

Secondly, it gives the student a glimpse into the present corporate environment and an appreciation of the interpersonal and influencing skills required to excel in the workplace.

The Final Placements for the graduating class are facilitated through the following processes:

Pre Placement Talks

The Pre-Placement Talks or Company Presentations are an opportunity for the Companies to interact with the students, understand their expectations and apprise them of the job requirements and job profiles offered.

Final Placements

This process is usually conducted in the month of December, although recruitment through Pre-Placement Offers (PPO) can happen till at least a fortnight before the Final Placements On campus, the company interviews the short-listed students and n select students through the following mechanisms of Final Offer:

  • Spot offers: If a company makes an offer to a student before commpleting the entire interview process with all short-listed candidates, such an offer is considered as a Spot Offer.

  • Final Selection list: A company may interview all the short-listed candidates before arriving at a list of selected students. Such a list is considered as a Final Selection List.
